🚨 URGENT APPEAL: RIVERRESCUES IS FACING EVICTION — WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🦎🐍💔

We are heartbroken to announce that RiverRescues Animal Sanctuary is facing the devastating reality of losing our home following the sale of St Margaret’s House in Edinburgh. With the building being sold and plans for its future changing, we are being forced to find a new premises to continue the work we have dedicated ourselves to.

We are running out of time, and we desperately need your help to secure a new home for our animals.

RiverRescues is more than just a rescue centre. We provide a lifeline for reptiles, exotic pets, and other animals who have been abandoned, neglected, surrendered, or simply have nowhere else to go. We take in animals with complex needs, provide specialist care and rehabilitation, and work tirelessly to give them the second chance they deserve.

As Scotland's main specialist reptile and exotic pet rescue, we play a vital role in helping animals who are often overlooked or misunderstood. These animals need experienced carers, appropriate housing, specialist heating and lighting, carefully managed diets, and safe environments tailored to their individual needs.

Without a suitable premises, our ability to continue this essential work is under serious threat.

💔 THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT LOSING A BUILDING. IT'S ABOUT THE FUTURE OF EVERY ANIMAL WHO DEPENDS ON US.

Every day, animals across Scotland need somewhere safe to turn. Every week, more animals need rescuing, rehabilitating, or rehoming. Behind every rescue is a life that deserves care, compassion, and a chance at a better future.

We cannot bear the thought of having to turn away animals in need simply because we no longer have a suitable place to care for them.

🏡 WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS TO SECURE A NEW PREMISES.

Moving a specialist animal rescue is not as simple as finding an empty building. We need a suitable, affordable space where we can safely house our animals, install specialist enclosures and equipment, provide appropriate heating and lighting, maintain biosecurity, and continue operating as a rescue.

The costs of securing a new property, covering deposits and initial rent, transporting animals, adapting the building, and setting up suitable habitats are enormous for a small rescue that relies heavily on donations and the generosity of its supporters.

We simply cannot do this alone.

❤️ PLEASE, HELP US SAVE RIVERRESCUES.

If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, you will be helping us get one step closer to securing a new home and continuing to protect the animals who rely on us.

If you cannot donate, please share this appeal far and wide. Share it with your friends, family, local businesses, animal lovers, reptile keepers, exotic pet communities, and anyone who believes that every animal deserves a chance.
